Advanced knowledge of cost management systems.

Project management/controls certifications such as AACE and/or PMP are considered an asset.

Effectively manage the communications interfaces essential for the delivery of the cost function.

EPCM or Owners team mining project experience is considered an asset.

Lead the onboarding and governance of cost control disciplines with engineering service providers and contractors, including project accounting controls.

Set up the Accounts Payable process with service providers and contractors to facilitate timely payments within internal controls.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Assist in the development and enhancement of cost control policies, procedures, and tools to improve project cost management.

Utilize cost control software and tools effectively to streamline cost management processes.

Stay up to date with industry best practices and cost control methodologies to continually improve the cost management function.

Familiarity with project management principles and project budgeting processes.

Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate cost estimates and budgets for new and ongoing projects.

3-5 years of experience in a Finance role

Gather data from SAP/Managers to create periodically Project-wise Cost Reports with forecast.

5+ years of relevant experience in cost management, project controls, scheduling, or planning in the energy, construction, or infrastructure sector.

Conduct cost analysis and provide valuable insights to project teams and management for informed decision-making

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.

Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.

Contract Management (Time and Material Type):

Assist in the preparation of project cost reports and participate in cost control meetings.

Strong knowledge of the “Earned Value Management” principles.

Directly interfaces with management as necessary for cost control monitoring, analysis, and reporting.

Oversees and supports project change management, including subcontractor claims, change requests, claims and dispute resolution.

Identify opportunities of Project Controls improvement for management review and consideration.

Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.

Set project controls guidelines and responsibilities within a business unit or Project Execution Plan.

Post-secondary education in Business Admin, Accounting or Finance
