Extensive knowledge with 5 to 10 years of progressive finance experience

Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with members of the finance team and the business

Lead the implementation of systems and solutions with a finance impact

Build and foster relationships with the business, IT and other Finance areas to evaluate and support initiatives

Cultivate a continuous improvement mindset within the finance team

In-depth knowledge and practical application of IFRS

Stay current on approaches to financial management and processes through continued professional development

Act as a key contact with Ministry of Advanced Education for provincial grant funding

Act as a key Finance resource in collaboration with various departments and schools to provide financial guidance to clients

5+ years of experience in a corporate accounting environment

Extensive experience with financial modules in ERP systems

Experience in a post-secondary or public sector accounting environment

Support the organization with any ad-hoc projects as requested by Management.

Gain knowledge of external factors, notions of the shipping and logistics cycle and their impact on the organization.

Support the Director with any other requests or requirements on a daily basis

3-5+ years of similar or relevant work experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Bilingual (French / English) - written and spoken.

Follow-up skills: Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and promptness as well as consistency in following up unresolved issues.

Prepare the consolidated month and quarterly financial reporting package for the Corix executive management team and Audit Committee.

Design, build and maintain reporting, budgeting, and modelling templates within the Corporate Performance Management system.

Prepare and update monthly presentations, industry survey responses and various key company statistical data for management.

Act as a subject matter expert on Adaptive Insights, and oversee any upgrades, training, system performance management and systems enhancements.

Create both financial and nonfinancial reporting packages as well as presentations for senior management and Audit Committee/Board of Directors.

Strong Adaptive Planning system experience, and a demonstrated technology and analytical abilities.

Advanced experience and knowledge of SAP and BI is desirable, including SAP Consolidation;

Professional Accounting Designation (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA) (5+ years’ experience is preferred)

Previous experience in the Oil & Gas Industry is preferred;

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently when necessary, with flexibility to adhere to deadlines;

Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills;

Experience working with large datasets and Excel Functions (VLOOKUPs, MATCH, SUMIF, etc.)

· Manage monthly financial reporting including supervising team members and implementing best practices in the reporting process.

· All other duties as requested from time to time by the Controller and VP Finance.

· Minimum 5 years of progressive experience, with some experience leading a team.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills.

· Experience using Microsoft D365 and Workiva is an asset.

· Excellent oral and written English communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

Develop independently, and through collaboration with Finance colleagues, management reporting on key metrics and updates on sustainability matters and initiatives

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Project management experience in sustainability

Lead the project management, production and distribution of key reports including Fidelity’s annual Corporate Sustainability, TCFD and Sustainable Investing Reports.

Provide insight and advice to senior management on presence at key sustainability conferences.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in sustainability communications, outreach and stakeholder engagement

Proven analytical, organizational, project management and report writing skills.

Understanding of risk management principles and application.

Participate in and advise on systems implementation and integrations from a finance and accounting perspective.

Experience coordinating annual external financial statement audits is required.

Demonstrated experience in preparing consolidated financial statements for a similar sized organization.

Advanced skills in JD Edwards, CaseWare working papers and CaseView financial statements software preferred.

Knowledge of US GAAP requirements, desirable

Maintain project plan associated with integration activities within the Finance department

2 to 3 years relevant experience
