• Consolidation and analysis of monthly operating and financial results at the group level

Manage audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements

8+ years in a financial controller position, with experience leading and modernizing a department.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations

Preference to candidates with Manufacturing or construction experience, or with experience operating in a unionized environment.

Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures, by implementing new systems to achieve smooth operation.

Prepare monthly financial statements and reports

CPA Designation with minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Prior experience in construction and/or real estate preferred

Experience preparing detailed budgets and forecasts

Implement and oversee month-end accounting processes

Oversee bookkeeper and assist in hiring additional accounting & administrative staff

Develop and analyze financial reports for individual projects and overall strategic goals

Strong leadership abilities, with experience leading and developing finance teams.

Ability to effectively communicate with staff and senior management, locally and abroad.

Present financial reports and analysis to the executive team, offering recommendations for improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA designation required.

3+ years of experience at a public accounting firm (Big 4 experience preferred).

2+ years of experience as a Corporate Controller or similar role in the software/technology industry.

Monthly management accounts produced and distributed

Delivery of group and statutory financial reports

Full variance and cost analysis

VAT returns, CIS Returns and Corporation Tax

Provide accurate financial forecasting to directors

Weekly Cash Flow Review / Forecasting

Implement and monitor financial policies and procedures including expense management.

Managing the payroll and benefits reporting, accounting, changes and updates.

CPA designation with at least five years of progressive work experience with full accounting responsibility.

Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, including effective engagement with diverse and senior stakeholders including Board members.

Strong interpersonal and coaching skills; team orientation.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, results-oriented, dynamic environment.

· In depth knowledge of and experience with IFRS and financial reporting.

· Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a public accounting firm auditing large companies

· Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.

· Team player with effective interpersonal and communication skills.

· Well organized, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

· Experience with SAP and HFM is an asset.

Knowledge of Canadian corporate tax legislation and experience conducting tax research

3+ years experience with Canadian tax

Strong attention to detail, research skills, and communication skills

Prepare and support the compilation of corporate tax filings

Complete premium tax returns and sales/commodity tax returns

Prepare and review the annual segregated fund and mutual fund trust returns

Experienced at process and systems improvement via a history of leading change management projects.

Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process

Manage and mentor a large team of finance professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.

Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes

Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff

Minimum of 10 years' progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller is preferred.
