Construction Accounting Manager – Project Accounting Jobs

Successful completion of accounting related post-secondary education (diploma/ certification)

Comprehensive knowledge of accounting software with the ability to pick up industry specific program

Intermediate to advanced excel skills is an asset

Must be a highly organized, detail & task oriented outside the box thinker with keen communication skills

Accounts Payable & Payroll (support):

· Other general office duties as assigned

Strong time management skills along with a high degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.

A minimum of 5 years experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Degree in accounting, finance, or related field

Previous leadership experience is considered an asset

Experience with month-end statements and government remittances.

Experience with budgeting and forecasting

Experience in program or inventory management is a strong asset.

Program Management/Administration (1/3 of position)

Accounting Manager or Program Manager with the above experience

Manage large corporate accounts and online internal corporate portals/stores for promotional products.

Ensure renewals of insurance and other business requirements.

1-3 years of Accounting related experience is a MUST.

As the Accounting Manager, your job duties will include:

Compile and present on reporting requirements

Must display exceptional communication skills both internally and externally

The right candidate for this role has the follow qualifications:

Establish financial reporting process improvements and support best practice initiatives

Additional ad hoc reporting projects as assigned

Manage and process all invoices and payments for all development projects.

Enter all sales contracts and sale proceeds statements from home purchasers.

Assist the VP of Finance with regular reporting to banks and other financial institutions.

2+ years of accounting experience

Collect and record receipt of all invoices, and statements, matching PO’s & CO’s.

Process all change orders, purchase orders and unit upgrades through the accounting software.

Overseeing annual assurance audits, tax compliance, and treasury practices to ensure credit facility adherence and optimized cash management.

Direct experience and knowledge in the construction/development industry required

Providing support for special projects/initiatives and offering ad-hoc reporting/analysis as requested by leadership

Managing and supporting the Finance team across Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Payroll, and Bookkeeper to achieve accurate and timely deliverables.

3-5 years of experience in construction/project accounting is essential

Bachelor’s in Finance, Business, or Accounting
