Support volunteer training and coordination in collaboration with the Volunteer Manager to staff community engagement events.

2+ years event large-scale coordination; destination event planning experience is considered an asset

One Year to Go Celebrations

Support the external PR agency to support media opportunities at the One Year to Go celebrations

Support the Commercial team to develop opportunities to highlight and activate corporate partners at the One Year to Go celebrations.

Coordinate the execution of external public and community events to advance the brand and awareness of the Invictus Games 2025.

Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and databases.

Provide a monthly report to the Outreach Manager.

University degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience with outreach, community engagement, training, and group facilitation.

Experience and demonstrated ability to foster relationships, work with diverse groups/stakeholders, and foster partnership building.

Knowledge of adult and child bereavement an asset

Research and evaluation skills an asset.

Exercises a project management lens to assess business operations and effectively evaluate options, managing programs and special projects within established timelines.

Knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of communications and public relations

Understands established legislation, policies and procedures, and makes recommendations and decisions accordingly.

Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Perform other duties consistent with job classification and responsibilities.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

Experience in managing projects that involve a variety of stakeholders.

Effective organizational, problem-solving, planning and analytical skills.

Foster and maintain community relationships and partnerships using principles and best practices for community engagement.
