Community Climate Ambassador Jobs

Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to promote and share content effectively on LinkedIn and Twitter to maximize engagement and reach.

Proven experience in editorial roles, preferably in the technology, startup, or climate industry.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with SEO best practices and content optimization.

Strong customer service orientation, attention to detail, and project management experience.

Creative and organized with exceptional time management, multi-tasking skills, and follow-up skills to ensure successful and timely completion of projects.

Create and maintain efficient and detailed electronic and paper file management processes

Bachelor's degree or comparable related experience in either private or nonprofit sector.

Excellent communication skills (writing, editing, and verbal).

Carry out quality control of data entry

Strong knowledge and experience in the areas of GHG emissions reductions, climate change adaptation and sustainability are required.

Provides input into developing professional practice resources and continuing education on the topic of climate change and sustainability.

Manages advisory groups, task forces, and engagement work led by Engineers and Geoscientists BC.

6+ years relevant experience related to climate change strategy development.

Strong communication skills; must be comfortable speaking in public and to a wide range of stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with experience working on community-level projects including climate activation, youth programming and advocacy.

Experience working with, sensitivity and knowledge in dealing with youth from different cultural, racial and equity-seeking backgrounds

Experience working with, sensitivity and knowledge in dealing with youth from different cultural and racial backgrounds are required,

Knowledge of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion best practices and Anti-Black Racism frameworks.

Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders and the Climate Action partners.

Network with relevant agencies to increase awareness of the project and Skills for Change.

Knowledge and experience in climate change adaptation, sustainable development, and asset management.

Strong project management experience is required.

Serve as a member of the Asset Management Working Group to inform and champion projects in decarbonization, mitigation, and adaptation efforts.

Seek and manage funding and grant opportunities.

Coordinate with Communications and Engagement staff to develop educational tools, programs, and engagement initiatives.

Must have strong research and analytical skills.
