Community Behaviour Support Coach Jobs in Manitoba

Provide sound clinical knowledge and skills, act as clinical expert and resource, and provide comprehensive, quality client/family-centred health care services,

Proactively identify training and education needs for the home and coordinate with the PRCs to deliver capacity building support,

Minimum one (1) year experience with clients in long-term care or residents in a long-term care home setting,

Experience with quality improvement methods and processes is an asset,

Basic computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel and online learning utilities including the ability to use electronic communication devices preferred,

Knowledge and understanding of the RAI-MDS process,

Develop Behavioural Support Plans, including behavioural management approaches, psychosocial supports and education.

Experience developing and delivering behavioural management interventions.

Competence in the use of standard psychogeriatric assessment tools and behavioural support management approaches.

Experience providing caregiver education, support and counselling relating to caring for a person with responsive behaviours.

Crisis intervention skills, with well-developed problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills.

Extensive experience in educating clients, caregivers, and key stakeholders on strategies and interventions aimed at addressing responsive behaviours.
