Collections Assistant Intern Jobs

Demonstrated experience with collections management database systems

Salary Range: $53,110 to $66,389 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits, where applicable)

Flexibility to meet operational requirements including hours of work and location and changes in procedures.

Recent Venipuncture experience, within the past 5 years, in an employment or student practical setting is required

Recent ECG experience, within the past 5 years, in an employment or student practical setting is an asset

Experience performing collections with the elderly or infirm patients or working in a hospital setting would be considered an asset

Strong organizational & research skills;

Previous experience with collections, and/or archival practice an asset.

Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to cultural inclusion and accessibility;

Attention to detail and accuracy in recording information;

Strong independent initiative and organizational ability;

Willingness to think creatively to build community, particularly through digital engagement;

Effective customer service, collaboration, time management and multitasking skills.

Strong relationship building, influencing and people management skills.

Occurrence management including investigation and sign off of incidents in the Quality Management system.

Highly developed computer skills and working knowledge of a variety of software systems including HCIS

Develop and foster a quality focused culture ensuring the delivery of quality services and compliance with CAP and CPSA accreditation requirements.

Outstanding communication (written, verbal and listening) skills

Excellent data entry, research and computer skills

Must be a returning student 16-30 to meet YCW qualifications

Working knowledge of Past Perfect would be an asset

Excellent oral and written communications skills

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Solid knowledge of Canadian History would be an asset

Participates in project work and performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job.

Participates in UBC Library’s online chat reference service as assigned.

Responsible for binding Music scores. Ensures that the bindery is properly informed of any binding problems or special instructions.
