Coating Specialist Jobs

Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management

Work with Quality Coordinator and Center Manager to identify and address quality concerns

Learn new skills and Cross-train into various departments

High School graduate or GED or equivalent experience.

2-4 years of previous experience in HVAC, carpentry, automotive/industrial equipment repair, or construction preferred

Knowledge of cutting tools (e.g., drills, etc.)

Verify coating with client specification & project requirements;

Communicate with the client when requested by the manager and/or supervisor;

Valid tickets and qualifications and other documents to be filed

Perform tasks specified by his/her supervisor and/or department coordinator;

Identify and analyse customer needs;

Plan and prepare work to be completed onsite at the client’s location (documents, equipment);

Develop and update manufacturing procedures and instructions throughout the NPI lifecycle, using our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Configuration Management system.

AS9100 and Mil-Std knowledge and experience an asset, but not required.

Manage all activities for the commissioning of new equipment, characterizing performance and validating for use in production.

Minimum of 3 years of work experience in thin film coating design and manufacturing.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles an asset, but not required

Knowledge of AS9100 and MIL standards an asset, but not required.
