Minimum of 4 years of post-graduate experience in a climate-related role. Both consulting and in-house corporate experience are accepted.

Significant experience developing complex corporate carbon footprints covering Scope 1 & 2 and all Scope 3 categories.

Experience of developing intellectual and commercial assets within the company, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Well-organized, with the ability to manage complex project deliveries, on time and within budget across multiple simultaneous client engagements.

Effective writing skills, with an ability to write concise, compelling, and well-structured documents and reports.

Managing client relationships with Fortune 500 companies at the highest level of seniority.

Preparing reports and presentations to show progress on the projects you manage

Fostering climate engagement across business units by mobilizing knowledge, commitment, and action.

2 to 5 years of corporate working experience focusing on climate change, and/or sustainability required

Strong research, and communication (oral, written and presentation) skills

Understanding of P&C insurance and/or the finance sector is considered an asset

Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, particularly in PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Project management experience an asset

Efficient time and workload management skills

3 to 5 years’ experience working on environmental issues or public policy with government or an NGO

Deep understanding of environmental issues including climate change solutions and impacts and demonstrated experience working on issues-based campaigns

Experience with government relations, media and/or politics a plus

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with sustainability management and reporting frameworks

Establish program management tools and structures to facilitate progress and tracking against ATB's ESG commitments and roadmap delivery

The ability to work on multiple or complex projects simultaneously and provide program management for execution across the team

A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant climate, environmental and ESG experience in industry and/or consulting

Experience in providing climate/environmental risk assessments and scenario analysis under the TCFD framework

Experienced in strategic planning and roadmaps

Efficient time and workload management skills

Strong understanding of campaign strategy development and project management

Collaborate with allies in Canada on a public facing campaign that builds the case for climate finance regulation

Conduct research and analysis to identify arguments in support of climate finance regulation, drawing from international efforts and other relevant materials

Experience in environmental, electoral or social justice campaigning

Strong understanding of energy and finance or climate issues

Previous familiarity or experience with climate action or in climate-related fields is an asset but not a requirement;

Experience working independently and within a team;

Updating, monitoring and implementing the Corporate Energy and Emissions Plan (CEEP) and the annual corporate energy emissions inventory;

Collaborating with internal staff from a variety of departments to develop and implement work plans related to CEEP initiatives;

Experience with Data Management standards relevant to ensuring data integrity;

Drafts communication materials and presentations for diverse stakeholder groups, including senior management, on EDC’s climate data initiatives.

Experience with the measurement of financed emissions aligned with PCAF and tracking progress against science-based targets (i.e. SBTI or PACTA);

Liaises with internal data engineering teams and external consultants to ensure alignment with EDC’s business requirements on climate data;

Experience of TCFD and relevant climate change reporting frameworks;

Experience with international organizations such as the IFC, WB, OECD and/or the UN;

Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Managing and/or participating in proposal writing and submission processes: providing administrative content, while delegating scientific content to faculty and fellows

Directing and coordinating communications and information exchange between the Collective, the UBC community, and the public nationally and internationally, via:

Identifying and implementing effective approaches for coordinating communications between climate researchers across the two UBC campuses

Developing content for website and social media, including stories about Collective workshops, seminars, and people (including the Solutions Scholars)

Coordinating with communications and public relations teams across participating faculties and departments

Other duties as assigned by management.

Strong knowledge and experience in the areas of GHG emissions reductions, climate change adaptation and sustainability are required.

Provides input into developing professional practice resources and continuing education on the topic of climate change and sustainability.

Manages advisory groups, task forces, and engagement work led by Engineers and Geoscientists BC.

6+ years relevant experience related to climate change strategy development.

Strong communication skills; must be comfortable speaking in public and to a wide range of stakeholders.
