Minimum of 4 years of post-graduate experience in a climate-related role. Both consulting and in-house corporate experience are accepted.

Significant experience developing complex corporate carbon footprints covering Scope 1 & 2 and all Scope 3 categories.

Experience of developing intellectual and commercial assets within the company, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Well-organized, with the ability to manage complex project deliveries, on time and within budget across multiple simultaneous client engagements.

Effective writing skills, with an ability to write concise, compelling, and well-structured documents and reports.

Managing client relationships with Fortune 500 companies at the highest level of seniority.

Knowledge gained through lived experience is of particular value.

Overseeing the Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Benchmarking process to meet the strategic requirements of NorQuest 2030.

Knowledge of equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism in the post-secondary sector.

3+ years administrative support experience. 1+ years of which should be specifically related to EDI and/or anti-racism, and/or decolonization.

Experience in implementing institution-wide initiatives, preferably in complex organizations.

Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of systemic inequities, anti-oppression, anti-racism, and impacts on targeted individuals and communities.

Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Delivers skill building workshops, webinars and presentations to promote respectful, inclusive learning and work environments and promote equity through systems change.

Works to increase the scope and accessibility of REDI’s training and education mandate through collaborative development of resources.

Collaborates well with others, gives and receives feedback skillfully, and is willing and able to effectively address conflict with colleagues.

Past experience working in post-secondary institutions is an asset.

Participates in a wide range of projects to support transformation of the Faculty culture

Experience with Data Management standards relevant to ensuring data integrity;

Drafts communication materials and presentations for diverse stakeholder groups, including senior management, on EDC’s climate data initiatives.

Experience with the measurement of financed emissions aligned with PCAF and tracking progress against science-based targets (i.e. SBTI or PACTA);

Liaises with internal data engineering teams and external consultants to ensure alignment with EDC’s business requirements on climate data;

Experience of TCFD and relevant climate change reporting frameworks;

Experience with international organizations such as the IFC, WB, OECD and/or the UN;

Other duties as assigned by management.

Strong knowledge and experience in the areas of GHG emissions reductions, climate change adaptation and sustainability are required.

Provides input into developing professional practice resources and continuing education on the topic of climate change and sustainability.

Manages advisory groups, task forces, and engagement work led by Engineers and Geoscientists BC.

6+ years relevant experience related to climate change strategy development.

Strong communication skills; must be comfortable speaking in public and to a wide range of stakeholders.

An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Two (2) years related experience and demonstrated leadership potential.

Demonstrated experience supporting the development of tools and resources to apply an intersectional diversity lens to programs and services.

Sustained success and experience in the delivery of climate change vulnerability assessments, climate risk management plans and climate change strategy development.

Demonstrated success in project management and client relationship skills.

Manage capacity of operating team to meet business needs, including the addition of capacity hires into the team and skill development.

Proven success in team management and leadership of a team for sustainable success.

Familiarity with project coordination and project management for engineering projects considered an asset.

5+ years of experience working in a related Climate Change role

Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects with internal and external stakeholders, developing collaborative relationships

Manage thorough technical, quantitative and qualitative analyses of energy systems, technologies, and policy research to support our policy advocacy

Demonstrated knowledge of policy and of decarbonization pathways in either oil and gas, electric or gas utilities

Demonstrated experience leading and managing quantitative and qualitative technical research in energy and environment policy

Knowledge of the challenges and opportunities with B.C. policy as it relates to energy, climate, and economic development
