Initiative, strong career research, organizational and time management skills.

Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology, Adult Education or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.

Demonstrated familiarity with students’ multilingual skills and multi-national experiences

Advising and coaching students on work search strategies and skills

Facilitating educational workshops and seminars

Strong experiential background in student transition; particularly, experience working with diverse communities and understanding international student transition issues

Demonstrated experience in program management with the ability to be reflective, innovative and creative in program design and delivery

Proven multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills

Utilizes campusBRIDGE to manage program workflows and requirements and manage student and volunteer data

Makes recommendations on the targets, structure, workflow, policies, and procedures of program and services to the Manager, Career Education

Undergraduate degree in social sciences, education, human services or related discipline and a minimum of two years related work experience

Strong customer service skills and experience balancing the competing needs of diverse client and stakeholder groups

Demonstrated experience in program management with the ability to be reflective, innovative and creative in program design and delivery

Previous experience with contributing to NPower Canada Alumni Education Program as a Career Specialist a strong asset and a preference

Excellent presentation skills and experience facilitating engaging and interactive workshops developed for a youth audience.

Excellent teamwork skills and proven experience collaborating with other departments.

Experience working with participants of all backgrounds including people with disabilities, 2SLGBTQ+, low-income, women and gender-diverse, Indigenous and racialized youth.

Assist Account Management Team with job matching, determining employment readiness, coaching and preparing the participants for AMT interviews

Support Senior Manager with participant performance management, including meetings, verbal and written warnings, and program withdrawals.

·Strong computer skills in MS Office, Internet, email and database management

·Excellent research, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

·Knowledge of the Toronto labour market, industry trends and IT trends such as cybersecurity

·Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Job Development or recruitment an asset

·Ability to complete detail assessment of clients commitment to working in the trades

Integrates established and emerging educational methodologies and tools into curriculum development to incorporate best-in-class content and methodologies in educational programming.

Develops evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of educational modules and overall programming.

Develops innovative long-term strategies, short-term tactical goals, and comprehensive plans for expanding and strengthening the alumni UBC Career Development Program.

Conducts needs assessment through identifying the career development needs of alumni and assessing potential participant groups.

Researching external programs and pedagogical technologies/tools that could enhance the effectiveness of new programming.

Seeks strategic internal and external partnerships in program delivery, including outside contractors as needed.

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Working experience in Canada, preferably in an Education Agency

Submit applications to institutions, obtain offers and facilitate enrolments

High level of problem solving and negotiation skills

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role

Education experience developing and delivering educational programs for a remote team is an asset.

Supports the Management Team in the selection and appraisal of staff as requested.

Demonstrated ability to use data to identify opportunities and engage in data driven decision making and change management.

Provides educational support, coaching, and mentorship to members within the Determination of Needs and Family Support Care Coordinator teams.

Provides strategic and instrumental educational leadership and support for the sustainability of the program.

Acts as an educational and training resource for committees and programs as required.
