Overview A Benefit Specialist is responsible for administering employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. They ensure that employees are aware of their benefits and that the benefits are being administered correctly. Detailed Job Description Benefit Specialists are responsible for administering employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. They ensure that employees are aware of their benefits and that the benefits are being administered correctly. They also provide assistance to employees regarding their benefits, such as answering questions and resolving issues. Benefit Specialists also work with vendors to ensure that the benefits are being provided correctly and in a timely manner. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of employee benefits programs

• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• At least two years of experience in employee benefits administration
• Professional certification in employee benefits (e.g. CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of employee benefits programs
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
• Knowledge of employee benefits administration

• At least two years of experience in employee benefits administration
• Experience working with vendors
• Experience providing customer service
