Project management skills; Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines under time pressure.

2+ years of full-time relevant work experience in capital markets, quantitative finance, or credit analysis/research.

Actively manage relationships with issuers, intermediaries, and investors. Effectively communicate S&P’s methodologies and procedures. Participate in client meetings.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of ratings criteria and cash flow analysis by helping to resolve clients’ analytical questions.

Strong interest in finance, quantitative, and legal discipline.

Strong proficiency with Excel, and experience with financial models and financial data.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Undergraduate degree in Public Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics, International Business or in a related field.

5-7 years of related experience (government – economic development, programs/policy, business development, sales and/or investment promotion)

Knowledge of the US market and the business culture, and the ability to promote Canada’s value proposition to these markets.

Knowledge of government departments, programs, and processes.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Manage 3rd party Payroll providers (if applicable)

Follow up with managers/employees on missing documentation

Monitor changes in tax status of employees

Process and distribute manual checks

Maintain and administer employee earnings information

Maintain and administer applicable deductions

Strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts, as well economic concepts.

Strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint and database application skills.

Background in corporate credit analysis and/or knowledge of insurance industry is a plus, but not required

Solid communication skills, verbal and written

More than 3 years working in a financial industry setting

MBA and/or CFA is a plus, but not required
