Associate Facilities Assessment Consultant Jobs

Be responsible for project management of multiple projects to ensure successful delivery to meet client objectives – on time and budget;

Demonstrate superior interpersonal and negotiation skills in working with other entities, and addressing potentially contentious impacts associated with project work;

Maintain and expand current knowledge of environmental best practices, monitor emerging legislation, new technologies, and changes to current environmental approval processes;

Work to develop client relationships, pursuing new business opportunities and have experience developing proposals;

Have a working knowledge of relevant software, including Microsoft Office suite of software.

Be able to manage multiple projects through project planning, resourcing, budgeting, monitoring and successful project delivery.

Completing floor walkthroughs throughout the building to monitor whereabouts and ensure that building appearance is presentable.

Constructing and deconstructing conference rooms, before and after meetings.

In a collaborative manner, establish building policies and guidelines regarding space management, core equipment, storage, and general building use.

Other Qualifying Skills And/or Abilities

Manage the MNI Facilities team, including team development and succession planning.

Manage special projects or requests related to facility structures, base equipment or researcher supplies.

Maintain administrative agreements; interact with the MUHC and McGill regarding shared space arrangements.

Assess the suitability of each vendor's platform based on the identified needs and requirements.

Evaluate vendor capabilities, including system scalability, customization options, and support services.

Advise OSSO on whether a single platform can effectively streamline processes and meet the identified requirements.

Associates or bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Facility/Construction management degree or a combination of equivalent experience.

Interact and collaborate with client facilities management staff to learn key information related to facilities operations, investments, and functional needs.

Document findings within Gordian’s asset management and capital planning software in collaboration with other assessment team members.

Knowledge with researching and applying relevant building codes and standards for existing buildings.

Experience conducting quantity surveys and estimating replacement values using RS Means or other construction cost data sets.

*Technical Certifications, Professional registrations, and government clearance a plus.

Prior customer service experience and/or warehouse experience is an asset - helping people solve their problems is what makes you happy.

Prior experience in a photo studio, production environment, and/or event setup - you'll be assisting the photography team quite a bit.

10 years’ relevant experience in Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) and TRA work

5+ years’ direct experience performing SA&A work for Azure and working in cloud environments

5+ years’ direct experience in the assessment of evidence and writing of formal Security Assessment reports (ITSG-33 based).
