Accountant Part Time Jobs

Minimum three (3) years' applicable accounting experience, not-for-profit experience is an asset

Experience leading a team is an asset

Highly developed ability to prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines under pressure

Knowledge of not-for-profit accounting principles and practices an asset

Demonstrated attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus

Minimum two-year degree in Finance / Accounting

3+ years of related accounting experience

Experience with small-mid size companies

Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word required)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Construction / manufacturing / or service industry background

Preparation of Month-end management accounts.

Perform ad hoc tasks, as required by management.

One to two years of experience in full cycle accounting

Perform bank reconciliation, record customer payments and other day-to-day journal entries.

Responsible for month-end close procedures, including preparing and posting monthly journal entries and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.

Administrate accounts payable process including receipt of invoices, invoice entries, and payment processing.

Exceptional time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks

Experience in public practice preferred but not necessary.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft office, CaseWare, Taxprep, iFirm, QuickBooks Online preferred but not necessary

Preparation of corporate tax returns, personal tax returns, trust returns.

Preparation of other regulatory returns and compliance filings.

Current experience using Quickbooks Online, especially the Sales Tax Module, QBOP, bank reconciliation, & bank feeds/rules

Current experience using Rep a Client and dealing with CRA agents

Current experience filing T4's & T5's

Current experience with preparing T1's

Experience processing payroll & filing Worksafe BC returns

Minimum 1-2 years experience in public practice (working with small businesses) in Canada.

Excellent planning, organization, and deadline management skills

Experience with property budgets and financial analysis skills

3-5 years of experience in full-cycle corporate accounting

Strong knowledge of basic accounting practices

Experience with quickbooks and MRP/ERP would be an asset

Distribution & Manufacturing experience would be an asset
