Web app (front-end) developer intern:
Are you a talented and ambitious individual looking to kickstart your career in web app development?
NTWIST is seeking a highly motivated web app (front-end) developer intern to join our dynamic team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our product department, creating rapid product demos/prototypes using cutting-edge client-side technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience and make a real impact by implementing new features and contributing to the success of our innovative projects.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in daily feedback and brainstorming sessions, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Develop and deliver web demos/prototypes in fast-paced iteration cycles, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Collaborate with the product team to ideate and brainstorm new features, while maintaining a backlog for continuous improvement.
- Maintain a well-organized inventory of generated code, ensuring proper documentation and version control.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, is a plus.
- Proficiency in client-side web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a solid understanding of design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, well-structured, and well-documented code.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, and preferably in the 3rd or 4th year of studies.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to effectively communicate and work with non-technical team members.
Duration: 4 months
Working hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Edmonton, Canada (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Summer Internship or Contract/Temporary role
The successful candidate will be expected to spend two weeks at the office (south Edmonton) during the on-boarding process after which the intern will have the option to work remotely 3-4 days a week. It is expected the intern will be available for remote brainstorming and feedback sessions with the product department on a daily basis.
