About The Role

The Warehouse Technician - Picker is responsible for order fulfillment within the internal and external value chain. This position works closely with internal stakeholders.

Reporting

The Warehouse Technician - Picker reports directly to the Materials Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow loss prevention policies and ensure that material gets handled appropriately during fulfillment operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Assist with receiving, sorting, and stocking materials, equipment, merchandises or supplies to shelf locations.
• Providing input to the Inventory Control Team and working to resolve any stock discrepancies that get discovered during the fulfillment process.
• Assist in compiling information on the receipt or distribution of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies and use this information to compute inventory balance.
• Stocking away residual material after fulfilling an order and ensuring that goods are relocated correctly, in accordance with the ERP system.
• Ensuring that the picked orders are accurate and that the physical goods match the requisition for product type, quality, quantity, and documentation.
• Ensure the general cleanliness of the warehouse and workspace
• Working with the Sales Team to resolve problems and perform value-added work as required.
• Respond to requisitions by picking material and ensuring that orders prioritized and processed correctly.
• Count material, equipment, merchandise and supplies in stock and provide accurate totals to post on electronic inventory records.

Qualifications

• Superior organization skills and attention to detail.
• Minimum high school diploma, or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Experience

• Experience in a similar role is an asset.
