Job Purpose


Warehouse Site Logistics Operator is the interface between AkzoNobel and the customer. A Warehouse Site Logistics Operator is expected to own an order from start to finish and be able to escalate concerns as required. The Site Logistics Operator additionally impacts Inventory Management for the facility that they work in.

Key Accountabilities


Order Receipt, Entry & Confirmation


  • Customer & Sales Relationship Managemen
  • Management of the order cycle from start to finish
  • Communication with the Customer when required
  • Maximize On Time & In Full Delivery
  • Communication / Escalation of concerns
  • Communication with Sales Team when required
  • Reason Code Entry for OTIF (On Time and In FULL deliveries) Failures


Inventory Management


  • Understanding Safety Stock levels and Forecasts modifications
  • Understanding of the NAM Inventory Management Protocol and its purpose
  • Capable of receiving replenishment orders and placing them into inventory accurately
  • Capable of picking Sales & Distribution orders accurately and efficiently
  • Understanding of the Daily Replenishment process
  • Capable of tinting Sales orders accurately and efficiently

  • Active in all forms of HSE reporting

Level of Autonomy


The Site Logistics Operator is empowered to make decisions inside in accordance with the performance level in the core competencies of the position. Escalation of problems or concerns outside of the control, expertise or authority should be brought to the attention of the Site Logistics Supervisor or Manager.


Examples:


A customer places an order for material that they require in two days. If two days is deemed to be a regular shipment for transport priority the Associate can enter the order. If this delivery time requires and expedited shipment the order is escalated to the Site Logistics Manager.


Requirements


  • Ability to pick orders with accuracy
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP (Preferred will train)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Strong work ethic
  • Positive attitude
  • 2 years of related warehouse and customer service experience (Preferred)
  • Proficient computer skills in examples: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Proficient problem solving skills
  • High school diploma
  • Ability to qualify on material handling equipment example – Lift Truck we will train.
