Warehouse - Forklift Operator

Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin has partnered with a North Edmonton-based company to hire a Forklift Operator for the next couple of months. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming shipments, as well as preparing and shipping outgoing orders to our customers. Your experience operating a standing forklift will be essential in safely moving and organizing materials within the warehouse. The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday - Friday 7:30 - 4:00.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Assist in inventory counts and periodic audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer orders.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding inventory status and shipment schedules.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
• Organize and store received materials in designated warehouse locations to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for any damages or discrepancies.
• Utilize forklift and other material handling equipment to safely transport goods within the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and inventory.
• Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills for order processing and inventory tracking, including the use of RF scanners
• Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated experience in operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Shipper Receiver or Warehouse Worker in a fast-paced environment.
