Pioneer Fund is seeking a Venture Capital Associate to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing and analyzing one of the largest seed portfolios in the world (hundreds of startups and rapidly growing). This is a unique opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting the growth of startups to make a significant impact in the venture capital industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read, track, and analyze investor updates across the entire portfolio, identifying trends, patterns, and key performance indicators
- Collaborate with the investment team to stay current on industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape
- Maintain a comprehensive database of portfolio company data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Compare and benchmark companies against one another to identify top performers and potential follow-on investment opportunities
- Review financial documents, fundraising decks, data rooms, and other materials to monitor the performance of portfolio companies
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external reporting materials, including quarterly and annual portfolio updates, presentations, LP co-investment opportunities, and other communications
- Develop and present recommendations for follow-on investments, showcasing the performance of top-performing companies in comparison to others in the portfolio
- Collaborate with the venture partner community to gather expert opinions and insights on portfolio companies
- Continuously refine and improve the processes and tools used to track, analyze, and report on portfolio performance
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Thrives working in a fast-paced, remote, dynamic environment while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfort with making recommendations under high uncertainty
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of the role
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and external partners
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to quickly identify trends and patterns in complex data
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to synthesize information and present recommendations clearly and persuasively
- A passion for startups, technology, and investing
- Adept in basic math, including thinking in probabilistic terms
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 2-5 years of experience in a relevant analytical role, such as venture capital, finance, consulting, etc
