Position: Venture Capital Analyst (FT Internship, July - Aug 2023)

GreenSky Ventures is a Toronto-based Venture Capital firm that invests in Canadian early-stage technology startups. We are seeking a full-time paid intern for July - August 2023 to assist us with strategic projects, industry research and operational duties. Successful interns may be considered for continued part-time employment or consulting work post-internship.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Data analysis, clean-up and structuring for data sets underlying key operational processes.
• Primary and secondary research on industry sectors, trends, and market dynamics; preparation, presentation and iteration of this research; and

Qualifications:

• Experienced with Excel and financial modelling; and
• Excellent English writing, presentation and verbal communication skills.
• A detail-oriented self-starter who is comfortable working in an off-site environment who possesses strong analytical skills and demonstrates intellectual curiosity, particularly about technology, market viability and the disruptive power of new innovations;
• Working towards a graduate or undergraduate degree from an accredited university in a STEM and/or business related field;

Eligibility Requirements (Canada Summer Job):

• Applicants must be under 30 years old, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred (international students are ineligible), and be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Availability Requirements:

• Flexible, hybrid working arrangement: typically, we spend up to two days in the office, but are open to alternate arrangements. Some in-person availability is preferred.
• This is an eight-week temporary position with a start date of early July and will be 37.5 hours per week;

Compensation: $30 per hour
