We are currently seeking a friendly and customer-focused Valet Parking Attendant to join our team at Swift Street Valet. As a Valet Parking Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional parking services to our clients, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for their guests.
At Swift Street Valet, we believe in creating a positive and enjoyable work environment. During events, we strike a balance between maintaining a focused and professional atmosphere while also embracing a lighthearted and fun approach. As a gesture of appreciation for our team's hard work, we provide lunch on event days (picked up from somewhere nearby, usually Sandwiches: Red Barn, Subway, Tim Hortons), ensuring everyone is energized and well taken care of.
Please note, we currently hiring for a *very* casual position (no more than 1 shift per month) Just doing events. Depending on event size and type of the event, a gratuity will be charged to client and paid on payroll, or tips are cash and split evenly between employees working the event. Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently park and retrieve guests' vehicles in designated parking areas.
- Follow established parking procedures and protocols to ensure smooth operations and efficient vehicle flow.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate parking services and promptly address any issues.
- Welcome guests with a friendly and approachable demeanor upon their arrival.
- Uphold a professional appearance and demonstrate a positive attitude, representing our brand with pride.
- Maintain an organized parking area, prioritizing the safety of vehicles and pedestrians.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guests' inquiries and ensuring their needs are met.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in an intermittently fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
- The position also may involve spending an entire shift walking back and forth between the drop-off location and the parking lot, while repeatedly getting in and out of vehicles.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, such as food and beverage or hotel services, is considered an asset.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license and ability to provide ICBC driver's abstract.
