At Squirrel, we value designs and understand it is a key driving force behind the product. We're looking for a creative, driven and laser-focused visual production designer. Working with a group of talented and dedicated cross-functional team, you will utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills to create amazing user experience.

What you will be doing

As a UX/UI Designer, you will drive the user experience for the Squirrel’s enterprise solutions and mobile platforms, owning the user experience throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will advocate for the user and evangelize user-centered processes within Squirrel.

Specific duties include

• Design and redesign interfaces and product experiences for Squirrel’s mobile app and web app

• Create concepts & flows — including conducting brainstorming activities and discovery workshops, and creating design documentation to include personas, empathy maps, journey maps and flowcharts

• Design outputs will include sketch ideas, wire frames, user flows, paper mocks, low-fi and high-fi mocks, and final design files and styling direction for developers

• Perform user experience research, design planning, and usability testing

• Validate & improve designs during design phase and after product launch, including measuring UX metrics and proposing adjustments as needed

• You will communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels of the organization

• Work in a product triad alongside product management and software product engineering

What you bring

• 3+ years of application, visual and/or interaction design experience

• Proven UX/UI experience with a beautiful portfolio that demonstrates your work

• Experience with cross-platform design iOS, Windows, Android

• Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)

• Experience conducting B2B Enterprise UX research and usability testing

• Up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies

• Experience with UX design within an agile software development lifecycle

• Knowledge of mobile and web application design concepts

• Ability to juggle multiple projects, adapt to change and operate within ambiguity

• A fabulous work ethic and attitude

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills

Bonus Points

• Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JS)

• Experience working on early and growth stage products

• Restaurant or hospitality market experience
