Ux / Ui Designer Jobs

Map Labs is looking for a UX / UI Designer. In this role, you’ll be responsible for product design. As our only UX/UI Designer, you will be involved in all aspects of the product development process.

Map Labs is the “Google Analytics” of Google Maps. Customers use our software and professional services to grow, manage, and report on their Google Maps business listings at scale.

We’re a customer-funded startup. We’re growing and need your help.

Our staff work around the world. This is a contract role and is based remotely.

What You’ll Do

You will start by learning about our business, product, industry, and customers. You’ll work with our Founder, CTO, and technical team to build wireframes, and mockups, then make those come to life in our application code.

• Work closely with our Founder and technical team to implement your design.
• Participate in design critiques by giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Create UX/UI designs and artifacts and implement them in our application.

What You’ll Need

• 3-5 years of experience designing web applications.
• An ability to cope with change and ambiguity while finding ways to advance your work.
• An organized and logical approach to finding solutions to complex problems.
• A commitment to continuously improve all of the above.
• A way to obtain commitment to a solution or idea while maintaining your integrity.
• Experience designing, conducting, and analyzing user studies.
• Ability to prototype rapidly in Figma, CSS, HTML, and Javascript.
• Knowledge of Google Material Design.
• Experience building design system components from scratch.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in UX/UI Design or HCI.
