What You'll Be Doing
  • Leverage this research to optimize the company’s path to market fit and the product target.
  • Communicate frequently with the engineering, cryptography, and research teams to continuously gather information and align R&D directions with the product (and vice-versa).
  • Use/Deepen your knowledge in the web3/crypto/blockchain market to maintain an overview of the competition and market segmentation.
  • SCRUM/Lean Product Development: Writing stories and tasks, managing the backlog, driving team performance, maximizing velocity, working with tools for forecasting such as release reporting to align with delivery schedules, driving sprint planning, and other agile rituals.
  • Drive the delivery, maximizing the value, and success of the product through SCRUM and Lean Product methods
  • Clarify the product vision and roadmap throughout the company.
  • Work with the Chief Product Officer and executive team in aligning product commitments with company objectives

What We Need To See
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to delivering superior value.
  • Experience working with Agile tools like Linear, Jira, Zenhub+GitHub, or similar and using the respective tool’s graphing, charting, or similar (such as burn-up/burn-down/release reporting) for forecasting delivery.
  • Significant experience in leading successful products to market launch.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a STEM field, it’s a big plus if you also have marketing/business management/leadership or similar.
  • Entrepreneur’s mindset.
  • Prior experience in programming, software engineering, distributed systems theory, or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technical product manager and/or product owner for a technically complex product following Agile methods such as SCRUM, lean product development, or similar.
  • Experience, deep understanding, & strong interest in the web3/blockchain field and market.

We are developing a next-generation interoperable blockchain ecosystem based on zero-knowledge proofs that provides tamper resistance and data privacy.
Purpose of the job
The Topos ecosystem is under active development. As part of your role, you will be tasked with leading the conception and refinement of the company’s product by thoroughly defining its target and managing its delivery. This involves driving product vision, understanding customer needs, value proposition, and stakeholder value for the product’s functions and features. The role is further responsible for leading the product planning, backlog grooming, and other related SCRUM / lean product development for working with multiple software engineering teams.
This role is ideal for candidates with SCRUM or lean product method experience as a technical product owner, notably in the web3/crypto/blockchain field. You can bring your knowledge and experience and grow further with the team.
Please note: this product is deeply technical and for a technical product owner to be successful in this role and understand the user story implications and acceptance criteria, a technical background such as programming / software engineering and/or distributed systems with a strong understanding of blockchain’s workings, blockchain bridging, and projects in the space is a must.
This role will also work closely with marketing in contributing to and ensuring alignment with the go-to-market plans.
