POSITION: Installation Technician

REPORTS TO: Service Manager

DIVISION: Ironstone Entrance Technologies

LOCATION: Brantford

At Ironstone Entrance Technologies, we are looking for an energetic and organized Installation Technician to join our team!

SUMMARY:

The successful applicant will service and perform preventative maintenance as required for All Brands of Automatic Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment as well as well as Install Dorma/Omega/ KBB/Crane etc. and a variety of associated technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Test equipment before leaving job site and perform safety check
• Model, foster and drive the Ironstone values including Accountability, Respect, Integrity, Vision, Stretch, Boundaryless and Speed
• Other duties as required
• Ability to work independently or with Team
• Maintain good customer relations and customer service
• Keep manuals up to date, and maintain company vehicles, tools and other property in accordance with established procedures
• Assist others in install/service methods and other duties as may be required
• Perform service repair work and preventative maintenance as required for Ironstone Entrance Tech Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment that may be sold or serviced by the branch as well as new customers
• Maintain accurate work records, adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log
• Present neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work around the following conditions: moving vehicles, object, hazardous machinery, sharp tools cluttered floors, slippery floors, electrical hazards, poor lighting and wet conditions
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work outside in various climate conditions
• Prior experience in the automated door industry would be a definite asset
• Prior construction or field service experience
• Must be able to read basic blueprints
• Ability to work independently and within teams
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Knowledge of electronics or electrical experience is an asset
• Must be proficient in basic computer functions such as email and MS Word/Microsoft Teams
• AAADM Certification would be an asset
• Must be capable of meeting the following physical demands including, but not limited to: lifting or carrying weights form 50-100 lbs, sitting while driving for periods of up to 2 hours or more, standing on concrete for periods of time up to 8 hours, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling and twisting spine occasionally

Automatic Door Technician and Apprentice Position:

Full-Time (40-44hrs/per week)

Hourly Wages $18-35/hr
