Omnivex is looking for an entry level Technical Support Specialist with excellent analytical skills and a hunger to learn. The Support Specialist will provide direct customer support of our on-prem and cloud-based software products. This is a great opportunity for anyone with a strong interest in all aspects of software technology. Primary Responsibilities

  • Complete regular customer contact campaigns, through phone and email, in order to unearth any latent technical issues and ensure they are having a positive user experience
  • Be, for many customers, the primary voice of Omnivex
  • Coordinate with QA and Development teams to provide assistance in identifying and resolving product defects
  • Assist in creating customer-facing support documentation as the need is identified.
  • Participate in emergency after hours on-call support rotation
  • Become expert in the use of our software to better provide support to our customers and partners
  • Log support incident activity
  • Monitor and respond to internal and external support inquiries via email, and telephone, and future channels.
  • Duplicate technical support issues in the lab
  • Work with customers (external and internal) and partners, both proactively and reactively, to assist in onboarding, address their technical ongoing support issues, and promote continued customer service and customer success.


Secondary Responsibilities

  • Procure IT equipment
  • Provide sample and customer specific scripts (IronPython and JavaScript)
  • Provide additional resources to our Professional Services Department, developing sample and customer-specific content with Omnivex’ software products.
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and decommission PCs for Omnivex staff
  • Help support the internal IT infrastructure


Competencies/Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, problem solving and analytical skills, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • General knowledge of IT infrastructure
  • General knowledge of SQL databases
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting in a Microsoft environment
  • A keen interest in learning and developing into a customer-focused technical resource for our cloud and on-prem products
