THE OPPORTUNITY
Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or comparable work experience
• 3+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 1+ years of experience managing a software team
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• 3+ years of experience with a leading cloud platform such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
• 3+ years of experience with Node.js, React, SQL, and TypeScript
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification would be an advantage
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

What you’ll be working on
Opportunity for Contract to Hire for the right applicant.
You will be the project manager for one of the three software teams. You will directly supervise two developers and be responsible for one of our client company’s most essential product offerings. The current development team for this project is split between India and USA, while our client company’s corporate offices are based out of Hartford, CT (USA). This role will also occasionally interact with the other software teams to standardize development practices across the department. As the leader of this small team, this role offers a lot of flexibility as well as ability to add significant contributions to their software and future iterations of the product.
Our client is looking for someone with exceptional communication, leadership, and engineering skills to manage one of their core product offerings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a small team of developers as well as making significant code contributions. On a daily basis, this role will be responsible for clearing roadblocks for the development team, creating and enforcing code style and architectural best practices, reviewing team contributions, as well as making your own contributions as the workload allows. You will also be responsible for reporting key metrics to stakeholders and being involved and contributing to product and system design.
