Our team is responsible for managing deployments to some of the biggest sports betting operators in the business. We create, configure, maintain and upgrade both public and private cloud platforms capable of handling tens of thousands of transactions a minute. Working hand in hand with our operators, we ensure that the platforms can handle whatever their customers can throw at them: Superbowl, Grand National, Melbourne Cup - name your event, our platforms can handle it all - with 100% uptime!

We think the position would be ideal for a candidate with previous experience in software engineering, systems administration, or systems support, looking to gain experience managing a team.

Responsibilities:

• Technical leadership and line management of individual Delivery Team of 3-4 release engineers
• Presenting progress reports to internal stakeholders
• Planning project resourcing and time lines with Project Management
• Managing end to end delivery of roll out and upgrade projects
• Troubleshooting technical issues that have been escalated by the team

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent experience
• Good working knowledge of the Linux command line
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Familiar with a scripting language
• Experience leading a team and organizing weekly one to one meetings with team members
• Over 6 years of professional experience in release engineering, system administration or applications support
• SQL experience, specifically query writing
• Experience with version control systems
• Must have a technical engineering background

This is experience would be a plus:

• Experience with networking protocols and architecture
• Familiarity with use of various continuous delivery/deployment tooling (e.g. terraform, ansible, docker, kubernetes, etc.)
• Familiarity with web application development
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Cloud services experience with AWS or similar

Additional Information

This position is hybrid, 2 days a week in the office. Our office is located in the heart of Montreal, near Peel metro.
