Team Lead, Collections Jobs

Notified, a business segment of West Technology Group, is hiring a Team Lead, Collections on our Collections Team in Toronto. The Team Lead will manage a team of Collections Professionals in Toronto, Canada and Makati City, Philippines. This position will offer a hybrid work schedule; Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in our office in the Financial District with the option of working remotely on Monday & Friday.

Position Summary

Responsible for staff leadership and participate in performing a variety of collection activities for assigned clients ensuring client's account status is maintained at established terms and at established credit limit while remaining consistent with Wests’ corporate policies, procedures, and

philosophies; participate in the activities associated with a variety of departmental projects; establish and maintain a professional relationship with internal/external customers, team members and department contacts.

Position Duties

Collections Team Lead Functions –

• Maintain strict adherence to client confidentiality standards and departmental collection
• Supervise, and as necessary. participate in a variety of collection activities ensuring adherence to corporate and department policies and procedures and established deadlines while being conscious of customer satisfaction and retention

• Utilizing a strong customer service focus, advise customers on available payment alternatives

and provide basic problem resolution

• Follow-up with clients when payments are not received in a timely manner to confirm that
• Establish rapport with clients in order to facilitate collection of accounts receivable

• Assist in continuously monitoring assigned accounts to ensure that clients maintain acceptable status level within pre-established terms and credit limits
• Conduct research and compile data for report preparation, identifying and resolving any
• Escalate to supervisor or lead any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impact the services being provided
• Assist in developing, preparing and updating collection reports

• Maintain accurate records regarding the status of collections on accounts, including documentation of all calls according to department policies and procedures
• Establish initial contact with new assigned clients in order to assist with billing or invoice

• Continuously monitor and reconcile deleted clients to ensure that all invoices are paid in full

and cash-in advance clients

• Conduct courtesy calls to clients in order to maintain current list of client contact information
• Operate and execute procedures and processes, within area of responsibility, in accordance with the established company policies and internal controls over financial reporting

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• Associates degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field
• High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years business experience including credit or collection experience required.

Other

• Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment and strong ability to multi-task
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel required

Candidates with Oracle, Esker and/or Salesforce experience will be highly considered
