Systems Consultant
Vancouver, BC
Remote- PST
Introduction
Brunel is seeking a skilled System Consultant to join our mining software client and contribute to their ongoing success. Their proven technology suite covers every aspect of the mining process and their digital solutions are supported by a global team of more than 700 experts providing implementation, professional training, and advisory services.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Work with ticketing systems to track, prioritize, and address user-reported issues and requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new solutions, features, and enhancements using .NET technologies.
- Utilize strong SQL skills to manage and manipulate data for various projects.
- Lead data migration efforts, ensuring seamless transfer of data between systems.
- Manage and prioritize tasks within a queue system, ensuring timely completion of projects and tasks.
Requirements
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience.)
- Demonstrated experience in data migration projects, ensuring accuracy and integrity of transferred data.
- Good communication skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a support role.
- Experience with ticketing systems and managing tasks in a queue-based environment.
- Proficiency in .NET development.
- Previous experience in mining industry is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques and tools to diagnose and resolve software and database issues.
- Bilingual (French) is a plus
