We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor to lead the Supply Chain team for the Oakville facility. Nature and Scope: Under the guidance of the Specialty and Supply Chain Foreman, the Supply Chain Supervisor coordinates and leads the functions required for the Supply Chain team. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating with other departments to ensure all operational needs are met for material handling.
• Managing cross border shipping to our sister plant in Westlake, Ohio.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of CGC & USG Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWI’s and Standard Operating Procedures, as required.
• Recommending and directing the hiring, motivating, and training of hourly personnel. Administering related personnel activities such as wage actions, promotions, disciplinary actions, and evaluations.
• Providing ongoing coaching and feedback to the crew and coaching supervisors and employees to help them develop their skills and abilities.
• Addressing any safety/quality concerns, and developing action plans to prevent reoccurrence.
• Exercising personal safety, promoting and enforcing safety among crew members.
• Overseeing the training and development of the Supply Chain team.
• Addressing any internal and external customs and cross border shipping questions and/or concerns.
• Managing shipping/receiving schedule to ensure loading/unloading requirements are met.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required.
• Prior experience as a supervisor is an asset, but not required.
• Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment is preferred.
• Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team.
• Forklift license is mandatory.
