Job Description

Located out of our Calgary office, the individual in the Supervisor Growth role will report to the Senior Manager, Growth, Reporting & Optimization. The successful candidate will be responsible for persistently and innovatively supporting expansion and growth opportunities with technical expertise, project scoping, assessments of existing assets and identification of potential new opportunities on Inter Pipelines Conventional Pipeline Operations.


Key Activities and Responsibilities:


  • At the request of commercial or other internal groups, confirm the capacity of existing assets and identify potential modifications or upgrades to increase capacity or profitability
  • Liaise with various stakeholders throughout the company to identify and champion solutions
  • Mentor and coach members of the team by setting a positive tone for communication and collaboration within the department and with other departments
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, addressing their concerns, and keeping them informed about project progress
  • Identify, and develop strategies to support the growth of IPL assets
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables meet the required standards and quality
  • Review project designs to identify potential growth opportunities, provide technical guidance to team members, and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the project


Education, Skills & Experience


  • Experience in the pipeline industry is a strong asset
  • Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
  • An engineering degree and registration with APEGA as a Professional Engineer are essential for this position.
  • Experience leading a team
  • The Supervisor typically has 10-15 years of industry experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills (planning, cost and scope tracking and reporting)
  • Knowledgeable in current operating standards, codes, rules and regulations that relate to pipeline operations and associated equipment


Hours:


8 hours/day, Monday – Friday. Occasional travel to site locations is required.


As this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of employment verification and criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.
