Strategic Sourcing Specialist

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain operations, managing inventory, and working with overseas clients. Your expertise in setting up end-to-end supply chains, purchasing from global sources, and coordinating with brokerage and quality control partners will be essential in ensuring the successful execution of our sourcing strategies.

What will you do?

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, identify potential suppliers, and establish strong partnerships.
• Manage inventory levels and implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
• Oversee the execution of purchased merchandise, ensuring that it meets our quality standards and specifications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, monitoring their performance, and driving continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact sourcing strategies.
• Actively Communicate with marketing team to ensure that purchased products are accurately reflected in marketing materials and campaigns.
• Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies to meet the company's supply chain objectives, including purchasing from global sources.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with suppliers, considering quality, delivery timelines, and overall value.
• Work closely with our brokerage company and quality control partner overseas to ensure smooth logistics, compliance, and adherence to quality standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify cost-effective and reliable sources for materials, products, and services.

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist or similar role, with a focus on setting up end-to-end supply chains.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of achieving favorable terms and conditions.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Desire for continuing education and personal development.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and quality control.
• Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather and interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong supplier relationships.
• Ability to ensure the execution of purchased merchandise meets our quality standards.
• Experience working with overseas clients and coordinating with brokerage and quality control partners.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
