Position: Store Coordinator

Location: North York

We are hiring for a Store Coordinator at an educational institution! You will help contribute to the store's overall image, managing customer and vendor relationships, overseeing inventory, and generating reports. This is a 6-month contract role, that is 5 days on site located in North York.

Tasks related to maintaining the overall image of the store include:

- Arranging merchandise in a visually appealing manner to attract customers' attention

- Ensuring that shelves and racks are properly stocked and secured

- Maintaining the general cleanliness of the shop

Job duties:

Tasks related to customer relationship management involve:

- Assisting customers with their purchases and returns

- Processing customer orders

- Addressing both internal and external inquiries

- Ensuring customers have a positive experience while shopping in the store

Tasks related to vendor relationship management include:

- Processing purchase orders

- Negotiating merchandise costs with vendors

- Identifying and maintaining a database of reliable vendors

- Evaluating the performance of vendors

- Handling vendor inquiries

Tasks related to inventory management include:

- Establishing and monitoring re-order levels to ensure sufficient stock

- Identifying items that are obsolete or slow-moving and considering possible discounts or write-offs

- Overseeing the general security of merchandise

- Conducting periodic inventory counts and providing explanations for significant discrepancies

Tasks related to pricing and reporting involve:

- Participating in pricing and margin strategies, including setting prices

- Reconciling daily point-of-sale reports

- Generating monthly sales reports

- Preparing monthly account billing schedules

- Participating in month-end cash counts

- Producing other required monthly reports.

Requirements:

- Store management experience

- Familiarity of POS systems and databases

- Knowledge of cash handling procedures
