Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Staff Full Stack Developer with 10+ years of experience in software development. In this role, you’ll be a technical leader responsible for end-to-end development, spanning both front-end and back-end systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize features that will be used by thousands (one-day millions, we hope 😎) of users every week.

🔮 What your future working at designstripe looks like

- Develop scalable, robust, and user-friendly web applications across the full stack. (70-80% of your time will be spent coding)

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Tech, Design & Studio, to translate requirements into high-quality solutions.

- Implement front-end interfaces and experiences with an emphasis on usability and performance.

- Design and build efficient, scalable, and resilient back-end systems.

- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and promoting best practices.

- Identify and address performance bottlenecks.

- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation.

- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across the team.

- Ensure application security and data protection.

🕵️♀️ Who are we looking for?

**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 10+ years of software development experience, including at least 5 years as an architect/lead.

**Technical Expertise**:

- Strong knowledge of back-end programming languages (e.g., Python, Typescript, Node.js).

- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).

- Experience with database design and management, including SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).

- Experience with source control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

- You will work with the latest tech:

- Python - Typescript - React - NestJS - MongoDB - Docker - GraphQL

- Google Cloud Platform or deep familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure

- Knowledge about fine-tuning AI Models such as stable diffusion, and LLMs (asset)

- ChatGPT

**AI Integration & savyness**:

- Experience with emerging AI technologies and a passion for integrating AI into development processes.

- Prior experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or blockchain technologies is a plus.

**Industry Background**:

- Concrete experience in technology startups or marketing/design agencies.

**Location**: -Remote work, but the candidate must be based in Quebec or Ontario with a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN number).
