Software Tester Jobs

What You'll Do

• Bring business experience to the test area and translate technical issues into an impact assessment to the user community. Provide recommendations as to the severity and impact of identified technical issues
• As a Software Tester you are responsible for the verification of newly introduced applications and modifications to existing critical systems. You participate in test execution to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose. Core duties of the Software Tester role include analysis of software and systems, risk mitigation and prevention of production software issues.
• Update existing test cases in qTest or JIRA based on system modifications and defect fixes
• Write, execute, and validate test cases, documenting results and creating any required defects assigning to the development team for review. Test cases may be executed on a variety of technologies including desktop, mobile, telephony and 3rd party
• Contribute as an active team member on Agile projects. Be accountable to understand user story content, determine test approach, create tasks, and provide daily progress updates to team members
• Attend project meetings, JAM and Sprint sessions to provide input and to gain a better understanding of the required validation
• Participate in development projects and release cycles as an application subject matter expert. The Tester is responsible to fully understand the functionality of multiple systems to identify issues, create test scenarios and detect opportunities for improvement
• Ensure applications are fully tested and performing to the highest standards of functionality with the common goal of ensuring frictionless implementations of technology across the organization

What You Bring

We Are Looking For Individuals Who Are

• Previous software testing experience including hands-on test software proficiency: JIRA, Confluence, qTest
• Nice to have:
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to prioritize critical path activities, achieve project milestones and meet deliverables
• Action oriented, and comfortable taking calculated risks to better serve our customers and business
• Collaborative team players with superior influencing skills, who build relationships easily across various stakeholder groups to move initiatives forward
• If you’re curious, ready to take on new challenges and open to doing things differently to help us evolve rapidly, then this is the place to be.
• Previous experience in Agile project environment, credit cards and banking domain
• Ability to interpret acceptance criteria and high-level testing scenarios into test cases
• Capable of adapting to changing technologies
• Outcome focused, critical thinkers with the ability to analyze and visualize, to ensure continuous improvement across our entire business
• Creative and courageous, with the ability to manage in an environment of change and ambiguity to help us take bold, strategic moves in this rapidly evolving retail environment
• Prior experience in mobile testing and knowledge of QA automation is a plus.
