Background:

Our client federal government client requires the services of an Intermediate Software Developer with the primary objective of being to determine and execute the most straightforward path for migrating custom applications, services and databases to the cloud. The team will adopt the “Minimum Viable Product” approach, where they’ll identify the minimum set of features required to upgrade to the cloud, and no more. The process includes initial assessment, implementing a foundation for cloud architecture, retooling, application refactoring for cloud compatibility, and database migration to the cloud. Third party libraries and low-code/no-code platforms will be prioritized where possible. At the end of this phase, all applications and associated services and databases must be hosted on the cloud. The role of the software developer resources is the development and migration of custom .Net applications from on-premises to the Microsoft Azure Cloud. The Programmer/Software Developers will be part of the Cloud Modernization project team and will report to the IT Project Manager.

Qualifications:

• 5 years experience in .NET Core, SQL Server
• Existing Federal Government clearance (secret)
• 3 years experience in AngularJS, Azure SQL, ReactJS

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the SharePoint Online and Safety Analysis project to ensure seamless project alignment and integration.
• Perform the development of the Business layer to the latest cloud-supported .Net framework.
• Participate in the assessment of the current on-premise architecture.
• Participate in identifying gaps, and research and development for TSB custom application modernization options.
• Participate in the creation of a plan for the modernization of all applications and services to the target cloud architecture.
• Participate in the deployment of all custom applications to the Azure Cloud
• Perform the development of the Data layer to the latest cloud-supported version of Entity Framework for .Net.
• Perform the development of all integrations points to be cloud-enabled.
• Participate and develop scripts for the migration of on-premise application servers to the Azure cloud.
• Participate and develop scripts for the migration of databases from SQL Server on-prem to Azure SQL (including SQL scripts and SSIS packages).
• Provide all the necessary knowledge transfer with the TSB development team on all aspects of the environment and applications setup and configuration
