In this role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge software tools and applications that leverage EO data for various applications, including environmental monitoring, disaster management, and more. This role combines your technical expertise in software development with your deep knowledge of satellite imagery science, enabling you to contribute to both the development and application of SAR-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of Earth Observation (EO) algorithms for commercial and/or military applications
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SAR technology and remote sensing techniques.
- Assist in the design and execution of EO research projects.
- Integrate remote sensing data from various sources and sensors into software tools for research and operational purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software applications for SAR data processing, analysis, and visualization.
- Provide SAR expertise and support to internal and external stakeholders, including clients and research partners.
- Contribute to the optimization of data processing pipelines for speed and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience with geospatial data and remote sensing concepts.
- Proficiency in remote sensing data processing and analysis techniques.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and/or C++.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Remote Sensing, Earth Science, Maths or Physics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
