We are looking for a Social Media & Influencer Marketing Specialist who will need to be a highly motivated, self-starting team player to develop and oversee the social media strategy and influencer/affiliate program cross-functionally and externally. The Social Media & Influencer Marketing Specialist will work with the CBO to continue to amplify The Detox Market’s social channels and affiliate platforms to increase engagement and sales.
You will be working directly for the Chief Brand Officer and alongside members of the Marketing, Merchant and Brand Partnerships teams.
SOCIAL MEDIA (50%)
Strategic
● The successful candidate will develop the social media and influencer strategy and execute the calendar including communicating with brand partners, cross functional teams and within marketing to create content with consistent brand presence on all our platforms
● Conduct competitive and platform analysis to stay on top of the dynamic social media ecosystem. Leverage benchmarks and best practices and test new ideas to continuously move the strategy forward.
● As an expert in your space, keep abreast of social media trends and update the business where needed as these trends or shifts may affect performance (positive or negative)
● Nurture key relationships with social platforms: Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube
Execution
- Curate content captions and content related to Clean Collective member recruitment
- Connect with CBO weekly to review and curate social strategy plan
- Post Clean Collective brand of the month exclusive content
- Liaison with merchandising team, copy team & Art Director to develop monthly social calendar
- Content Creation
- Update monthly IQ Program social media metrics slides
- Outreach each quarter for new social assets
- Curate TDM focused brand/founder content
- Maintain relationships with TDM brand teams and founders (quarterly)
- Post weekly content related to promotions
- Film/edit photos and videos based on timely marketing campaigns, events, product focuses or new launches
- Schedule content posting using social media management platform Later
- Support online community management, with support from your manager
- Engage with accounts posting UGC, Clean Collective members, TDM brands and celebrity content
- Brand founder content exclusively for TDM social channels (quarterly)
- Brand founder content exclusively for one brand detox boxes (monthly)
- Conduct ongoing weekly and monthly analysis, facilitate the tracking and reporting of our social channels. Delivering performance results against the strategy and KPIs set by the CBO
- Brand of the month announcement
- Build an evergreen Imagery Bank of social first assets
- Update monthly social media reporting deck
- Liaison product gratis to Detox Ambassadors for TikTok content creation support
- Masterclass announcement (twice monthly)
- Brand 40% discount or GWP announcement
INFLUENCER MARKETING (50%)
Admin and Affiliate Marketing
- Review and vet applications for affiliate marketing program (Impact & ShopMY)
- Update wrike events folder to ensure all tasks are completed and assigned to retail, marketing and merch team
- Communicate via ShopMy Shelf to affiliates about upcoming promo details
- Gather social media assets from new brand
- Execute any gifting to Influencers as it supports Influencer strategies specific to your channels.
- Communicate to affiliates about any upcoming product seeding opportunities in exchange for content linking back to our website
- Offer influencer or affiliate seeding opportunities
- Update PR + Events google calendar for team visibility
- Communicate via email with new brands for onboarding
PR & Influencer Marketing
- Track and follow up for content
- Support relationships with social media influencers and develop a strong network
- Pitch monthly new product launches to Canadian Media outlets
- Pitch detox box details
- Send press hits to TDM team members
- Confirm shipping details + content in exchange for product
- Place Detox Box shopify orders
- Follow up and confirm press coverage
- Facilitate product seeding for PR requests
- Product seeding to influencers and/or press based on IQ packages or marketing campaigns
- Pitch monthly Detox Box to TDM influencers in exchange for content
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
● Educational background: Post secondary education. Business management is ideal
● Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in social media in a consumer brand building environment, including Influencer marketing
● Proficient in G-suite, Geneva, Zoom
● Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and react to changing business needs under pressure
● Awareness of the current social media and digital marketing landscape is a must
● Content production and editing skills is a must, including photo and video
● Equal parts analytical and creative.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience as a copywriter would be considered an asset.
● Social Media certification would be an asset.
● Experience in the clean beauty industry is considered an asset, however an interest in beauty and sustainability is a must!
● Stays up to date with relevant clean beauty, retail, and sustainability news
● Willingness to work evenings and weekends for special events and launches as required
● A solid understanding of business cases and risk management processes
● A positive, high energy team player that can embrace the brand and bring it forward
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
Develop the program to:
● Increase engagement and views on all channels
● Raise our brand awareness on TikTok; ensure we get onto FY pages consistently
● Drive sales
● Coordinate and execute a successful influencer/affiliate program
● Produce all projects to be on time and within budget
