Skilled Maintenance Labourer (Fort Hills)

NACG is looking for a Skilled Maintenance Labourer to work at the Fort Hills location. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.

Site Fort Hills

Schedule 14x14 (Days and nights)

Accommodations Camp provided

Transportation Flights provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary

Overtime After 8 hours in a day or 44 hours per week

Hourly Rate Up to $32.34 per hour

The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.

• Must have skid steer, loader, fork lift experience.
• Must be a self-starter
• Successful applicants must to be willing to help out in all tasks including general yard clean up, assisting mechanics and steamers and other day to day tasks as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
• Preference will be given to applicants with a mechanical background.
• Must have a valid driver's licence.

**Must be physically fit and be able to lift 50 pounds**

All successful candidates must

• Urine Drug Test
• Breath Alcohol Test
• Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Have experience as requested as mentioned above
• Undergo and successfully pass the following testing
• Criminal Record Check
• Subject to Random Testing at Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
• Fitness-to-Work Assessment
• Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
• Vision Screening
• Audiometric Testing

Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.

All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date

• CSO Certification
• Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
• Silica Awareness
• VOID cheque/direct deposit form

Once dispatched the following processes will occur

• An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
• Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
• After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.
