Job Description
Matrix HR is looking for a long term labourer for our excellent client running a job site in Jasper, AB. The Skilled Labourer position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks involving manual labour in construction sites. This position requires the ability to take directions and perform tasks that require physical labour, accuracy, and attention to detail. Camp is available.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work area
  • Set up and operate various tools and equipment used in construction sites such as saws, drills, and other machinery
  • Perform carpentry, masonry, and other skilled tasks as directed by the Site Manager/Supervisor
  • Prepare and clean up construction sites by removing debris, digging trenches, and using other construction tools
  • Perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, bending, and carrying of materials and equipment
  • Assist in the installation and removal of scaffolding, shoring, and braces
  • Complete other duties as assigned


Qualifications


  • 1+ years of experience as a Skilled Labourer in construction or a related field
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools and own tool belt
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in all weather conditions
