Job title: Site Reliability Engineer / Linux Systems Engineer

Client: Elite FinTech

Salary: $100,000-$175,000 CAD + Bonus

Location: Montreal / Hybrid

Skills: Linux, Python, Bash, Automation, LDAP, NFS, DNS, DHCP, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, IaC, Terraform, CI/CD

The role:

My client are seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer / Linux Systems Engineer to join their team.

You will be looking after an extensive, low latency Linux estate, ensuring uptime is at it’s optimum, and developing the infrastructure.

Core skills required:

  • Being a part of the on call rotation
  • Excellent knowledge of Bash
  • Good knowledge of Python
  • Providing response for Linux related incidents such as changes, deployments, performance troubleshooting, and P1 incidents
  • Ensuring stability of core services such as NFS, LDAP, DNS and DHCP
  • Automating and provisioning 1000’s of Servers
  • General Networking fundamentals
  • Extensive Linux Systems Engineering experience

Desirable skills:

  • Source Control
  • Docker / Kubernetes
  • IaC / Terraform
  • AWS / GCP
  • Configuration Management / Puppet
  • CI/CD
