DNR INDUSTRIES IS HIRING A SHOP FLOOR SUPERVISOR

The Opportunity: DNR Industries Limited is seeking a results-oriented shop floor supervisor. The ideal candidate will have experience within a manufacturing shop specializing in bending and have great attention to detail. This role will be the working Supervisor of our Bend Shop to ensure production schedules and goals are met by:

• Responsible for communicating all job status and progress to Management
• Delegate work from schedule to meet customer deadlines and ensure all employees are working toward and preparing for their next job
• Responsible for shop organization and overseeing the assembly of product to ensure orders are completed on time and to instruction
• Responsible for ensuring new workers are trained and provide proper supervision of training initiatives
• Support the employees when required and maintains the cleanliness of the shop
• Ability to work with and understand safety requirements for saws, drill presses, hand tools and CNC equipment
• Process work orders according to instruction and label/tag product for shop travel
• Record and maintain current work processes
• Keep track of workers time and attendance and ensures work is completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints with the Production Manager to identify and resolve production problems in a timely manner
• Make recommendations for employee promotions, hiring, corrective action, terminations and participate in the hiring process
• Ad hoc duties as requested
• Ability to complete lay outs and properly communicate the lay outs to others
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Requirements:

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to operate forklift and material handling tools
• Good communication skills
• This role is 90% shop floor based and 10% administrative/office
• Woodworking and welding experience is an asset
• Fabrication experience is an asset

Knowledge & Qualifications

• At least five (5) years’ of Manufacturing experience, bending, welding, polishing and CNC experience is preferred
• Highschool diploma or GED required;
• Experience in a supervisory role is an asset
