The Opportunity:
Become our client’s Shipping Supervisor and streamline material movement and distribution within the company. Collaborate with departments, track international and local shipments, and optimize shipping processes using ERP system. Make a significant impact on supply chain efficiency and contribute to their organization's success.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Managing the movement and distribution of material within the company
• Liaising with Planning and Purchasing Departments to track and manage shipments
• Coordinating and preparing shipping documents using the company's ERP system
• Ensuring a seamless process for outgoing and incoming shipments
• Collaborating with other departments to integrate logistics into company procedures and operations
• Updating executives on urgent/new freight and logistic issues
• Leading logistic metrics, tracking measurements, and maintaining carrier performance evaluation
• Analyzing logistics, identifying issues, and proposing solutions
• Creating and presenting monthly freight payment reports
• Coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders for pick-up and tracking
• Negotiating best pricing with freight forwarders
• Assisting factory shipping department with loading scheduling and requirements
• Communicating with internal and external customers regarding shipping schedules and documentation
• Confirming physical shipment of goods and facilitating tracking
• Responding to customer inquiries and maintaining databases
• Collaborating with other departments to fulfill customer needs
• Maintaining confidentiality and following safety practices
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
• Minimum 5 years of shipping-focused experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and material handling procedures
• Demonstrated project coordination and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and solve problems quickly
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proven track record of responsibility and accountability
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
