About The Dining Room Server Job

  • You provide room service, and also clean and set up the dining room between meals, washing dishes when needed.
  • You serve each meal with an eye for presentation, following proper food-handling procedures and accommodating any special dietary needs or preferences.
  • As a Dining Room Server, you’re a core member of our Food and Beverage team, and essential to creating an incredible dining experience for our residents and guests.
  • You go above and beyond to surpass our resident’s and visitor’s expectations while they’re dining with us.

About You

  • You have similar restaurant or hotel serving experience, along with your Food Safe I, Serving it Right and WHMIS certifications.
  • Your attention to detail is superb, as is your knowledge of proper food-handling procedures.
  • You understand and respect the needs of seniors, their families and the professionals engaged in their care.
  • You bring a smile and positive energy to all you do, and you’re able to adapt to new situations quickly and solve problems professionally.
  • You’re an excellent communicator in English and a customer service superstar, with the ability to build relationships.

The Perks of Joining PARC

  • A true living wage. PARC is a Living Wage Certified Employer!
  • Meaningful work. How many hospitality jobs can say that? At PARC, you’ll be making a positive difference in seniors’ lives, each and every day.
  • No more late nights. Unlike the rest of the hospitality world, our closing shift ends at 9 p.m.
  • Flexible hours and location. We’re open to scheduling when and where it works for you – with guaranteed shifts every week. PARC has five great locations across the Lower Mainland.
  • Refreshments while you work. PARC’s chef-prepared cuisine rivals the best in BC, and we offer subsidized daily meals and beverages to employees.
  • A supportive, diverse team and training opportunities. We believe in giving our people opportunities to advance wherever we can.

At PARC Retirement Living we understand the importance of immunization to protect our residents, team members and visitors from COVID-19. As such, a prerequisite of employment is that all new hires are fully vaccinated as approved by Health Canada. We also require a Criminal Record Check, and a TB test within the first month of employment.
