The Company
Think Research has recently acquired HCP Health ("HCP"). HCP strives to embrace a digital approach to healthcare. We have pioneered a virtual approach to the typical "walk-in" model so patients can stay at home and stay healthy - especially during challenging times like these. We have a team of experienced doctors who can provide remote care when and where you need it, on any device.
The Role
HCP is looking for an experienced Medical Office Assistant to oversee our two clinics in the GTA. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have managerial oversight and responsibility of clinic operations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing clinics, and onboarding new staff.
You Will Have The Opportunity To
  • Develop protocols and procedures in alignment with HCP's vision to improve staff productivity and clinic health
  • Training of new staff members on clinic EMR and workflow.
  • Day-to-day management of HCP's owned and operated medical clinics
  • Ensure all policies and procedures of clinics function in accordance with provincial and federal laws, where applicable.
  • Prepare the staffing schedule, and projecting staffing needs and working with the Talent team on recruitment.
  • Perform employee reviews and provide constructive feedback on their performance
  • Submitting OHIP billings, reviewing RA’s and completing billing reconciliations.
  • Oversee the purchasing, maintenance, and repair of clinic equipment, including ordering stock and supplies.
  • Assist physicians and administrative staff with administrative duties, clinic workflow and clinical procedures.
What You Will Bring:
  • Access to a vehicle as the role will require travel between clinic locations.
  • Experience with an EMR required and knowledge of Telus PSS is an asset.
  • Experience with OHIP billings is an asset.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets, billing, and negotiating with suppliers and vendors.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills;
  • Previous experience overseeing a team of administrative staff
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail;
  • Medical Office Administration certification or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience working as a medical office assistant preferably in a large or busy clinic.
