Senior Java Developer - Hybrid

We are looking for passionate Senior Java Developer who is aspiring to work with Market Treasury Development team. Our team responsible for developing solutions with market data. You will manage the trade life cycle. You will develop and maintain risk engines. Our applications help the trading desk obtain intraday and end of day Risk, Profit and Loss for their positions. This enables them to remain in line with their trading strategies. We are developing a state of art application called Matrix which is a risk engine being built using Java, Spring Boot, MongoDb. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to contribute towards its development along with maintaining the older applications which are built in Java.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to manage deadlines, unexpected changes regarding expectations or requirements.
• Liaise with developers, business analysts, quality assurance and architects.
• Partner with our finance, risk, and operations teams through stakeholder management.
• Ensure that the application components are built to the highest standards across the application lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the domain implementation development teams.
• Collaborate and share best practices with the team and stakeholders.
• Conduct research on new open-source libraries, products, and technologies to ensure that continuously learning allows the team to strengthen its capabilities.
• Passion for process improvement through unit testing automation, one click builds and deployment.
• Code mission critical systems in Java 11.
• Design and develop solutions to meet requirements gathered on our multi-year, multi-asset program.

Qualifications:

• Methodologies - Agile, Waterfall, Test Driven Development.
• Experience in monitoring applications on OpenShift platform and using AppDynamics.
• Excellent understanding on the programming principles, design patterns, and OO best practices.
• 5+ years of experience as Java Developer and at least.
• Experience with Messaging technologies like MQ, KAKFA and ActiveMQ.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Sound working knowledge of microservice design pattern and its implementation in a cluster environment.
• Tools – Git, IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, Maven, TeamCity, Jenkins, JIRA and automated testing tools like Junit.
• Exposure to continuous integration and continuous deployment processes and tools (Jenkins, RLM).
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
• Solid understanding and working knowledge of RESTful APIs.
• 3-4 years of experience with Java 8.
• Experience in SCMs preferably GIT and tools like JIRA.
• Expertise with core Java concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
• Well versed with design standards and frameworks
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience with concurrent programming, caching, clustering, and replication strategies.
• Experience working with Spring, Core, Integration, Batch, Hibernate.
• Solid knowledge of SQL in the context of a major RDBMS.
• Ability to work within a global team.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
