The position will be at our office in Victoria, BC.

Who you are:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior IT Professional who will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that computing systems, data centers and equipment are operating effectively and efficiently.

To be successful in this position you will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry’s best practices and evidence a professional track record of effective technical management, information analysis, and a thorough understanding of computer hardware and software systems.

Our ideal candidate should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees as well as the ENKON’s SaaS clients. They should also be ready to work closely with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and increase efficiency for existing ones. This candidate should have prior experience working with information technology and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Evaluating technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
  • Generate reports for system performance for management.
  • Remaining up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot IT systems and provide technical support to teams.
  • Lead in-house and in some cases remote employees and monitor their performance.
  • Negotiate and communicate with third-party software providers for new software, software licensing and troubleshooting.
  • Assuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Manage in-house Information Systems, SOC 2 type 2 compliance and provide oversite of 1 inhouse and 3 remote data centers.
  • Control and monitor data and network access, perform upgrades, installations, maintenance, and backup of systems.
  • Oversite of the annual IT budget and ensuring cost-effective expenditures.


Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including server, office, and exchange.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field, preferably in database management.
  • Experience in information technology space and solving various software and hardware problems.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science software engineering or relevant field.
  • Strong technical problem-solving focus and great communication skills.
  • Management and leadership skills.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
